Monday morning, cloudy morning as we return from morning Mass.
Monday was the first day of the young people retreat.
As usual, the first day, as we start, it feels a little awkward. But after a while things get into a rhythm. We have a great group of young people. It's been a pleasure and an honor to work with them.
I'm looking forward to the second day as well.
In the evening I was invited to dinner with Fr. Aric and Ms. Olive. It's been great to get to know Fr. Aric a little better and spend a little time with him.
We ate at a restaurant in Punta Gorda that overlooks the ocean. We got there just before dark. After a long day, it was time to relax and just enjoy the evening. In Punta Gorda there's more of a breeze then in Nazareth where I am staying, at least most of the time.
The picture below is of a drink called Bailey's Colada. It has a slight taste of chocolate too.
The ocean looks dark at night but the moon was red and looked great. It's difficult to take a photo of the moon with your phone and get a good sense of how it really looks with the human eye. But this shot came out great with the reflection of the moon on the ocean.
After getting back to the convent, I was blessed to meet a couple of sisters who are visiting. One is a sister who lives in the convent in Belize City. The other sister is from India but is currently living in Rome. She will be staying in Belize for a couple of weeks.
Then time to call it a day. I was wiped out.
