You guessed it! The very church on the grounds of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters convent where I stayed for the month of March last year. Wow. How cool is that.

What does all this mean?
Here's a short blurb from the cathedral post in Belize City, Belize.
"The opening and closing ceremonies are a highlight of Jubilee 2025. Both feature the symbolic opening and closing of the Holy Doors. Throughout this year “The Holy Door will become a Door of Mercy through which anyone who enters will experience the love of God who consoles, pardons, and instills hope.”
For Catholic pilgrims, passing through the Holy Doors is only part of a profoundly personal, enriching spiritual experience. The idea of a door or gate as a symbol of entry into the Lord’s good graces comes directly from the New Testament.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells the Pharisees, “I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.” (John 10:9) In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells his disciples, “So I say to you, ask and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.” (Luke 11:9)"
Sacred Sites have now been designated as follows: (in the country of Belize there are 10)
1) St. Peter Claver Church, Punta Gorda with missions to San Luis Rey (San Antonio) and Nazareth.
St. Peter Claver Church in Punta Gorda is the church we went to daily mass at 6:30 a.m. every day. This is the church where Fr. Aric is.
If you recall from the blog posts when I was in Belize, most of the pictures of the ocean with the sunrise were taken on our way to mass or our way back from mass.
The missions listed, San Luis Ray (San Antonio) is one of the missions I visited with Fr. Aric. and the one in Nazareth is the one on the convent grounds pictured above. I took that picture the day I arrived at the convent. Our Lady of Fatima.
I'm very excited for the sisters and their communities that these places are pilgrimage sites and am hopeful that this means more visitors as well and needed donating to keep their ministries going.
If you want to plan a group pilgrimage to this Sacred Site, the sisters have accommodations.
