Q: What Parish are you with?

A: We are members of the Estancia Valley Catholic Parish (Moriarty, Edgewood), San Miguel del Vado Parish (San Miguel del Vado), Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Parish (Villanueva), Our Lady of Sorrows Parish (Las Vegas), Immaculate Conception Parish (Las Vegas), Santa Clara Parish (Wagon Mound), Archdiocese of Santa Fe.

Q: Will there be a priest there?

A: Yes. We will have a priest there on Friday evening, and Saturday morning. He will celebrate Masses on Friday and Saturday morning. We will have a Communion Service by a Deacon on Sunday morning.

 

Q: Who can participate?

A: All are welcome. For most of our retreats the majority of participants were adults. A comment was made by a young man that participated in one of our retreats that encouraged us to include youth and younger children.

 

He stated that he appreciated that they were included in the talks and discussions and that it was good for youth to hear the concerns and wisdom of adults and that it was good to be heard by adults instead of always being separated out. Thus, we encourage parents to bring youth, 1st Holy Communion age and up.

Q: Where is the facility located?

A: This gorgeous place is located 12 miles east of the 4-way stop in Pecos, NM. It is on private land and cannot be seen from the road. There are locked gates because of cattle on the property. Q: Are all retreats the same?

A: Each retreat is different. Not only is the theme different, but the way the retreats are run is different. There is different participation and different formats as well. We usually host 1-day retreats. This year we are truly "retreating into the wilderness" for a weekend with Jesus.

Q: Will I be able to participate online?

A: Although we have made it possible to participate online for previous retreats, this one will not be available online. There is no internet or phone service available at this location.

Q: Is registration required before the retreat?

A: The registration fees are used to pay for our costs prior to the actual retreat weekend. Your slot will be reserved upon receipt of your registration fee. First come first serve. Until all slots are taken.

​

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: If you are planning to stay in the facility, bring toiletries and clothes. Bedding and towels are provided.

​

If you are bringing an RV, we will be providing meals and refreshments.

 

Keep in mind that we will be in the mountains. It is recommended that you bring a jacket for chilly nights or mornings.

Q: Will there be a Mass or Communion Service for Sunday?

A: Yes, we will have Communion Service for Sunday. This will meet your Sunday obligation.

​

Q: Do you always have Confession and Adoration at each retreat?

A: We have been blessed to have both Confession and Adoration available at all of the retreats.
