Lenten Retreat Series 2023
Q: Who can participate?
A: All are welcome.
Q: Is there a fee?
A: Your smile. :) No fee required.
Q: What if I miss a session?
A: Not a problem. If you want the handouts, send an email to: geri@gerisalazar.com
The sessions are designed to benefit the participants whether they can attend each one or as many as possible.
Q: Can a few of us get together and join as a group on zoom?
A: Yes. You can mute your group and do your discussion period on your own or you can try and join our discussion period. Depending on how many participants we have, we will be able to do different things. We will know more based on how many register.
Q: Can I show up at the door without reserving a seat?
A: We would like to know how many are coming so we can be prepared. We will be printing handouts and need to know how may participants to set up for. It will also help us to maneuver the video equipment, etc. based on the size of the group. If you absolutely cannot call to reserve a spot, you will not be turned away at the door.
If you have more questions please send text to 505-321-5879 or email to: geri@gerisalazar.com
September 24, 2022 Retreat Questions:
Q: Are all the retreats the same?
A: Each retreat is different. The retreat in September 2022 is a retreat for ages 11 and older. Basically youth and young adults, adults, and elderly. We are all in this together.
Q: Is this retreat only for women?
A: This retreat is for both men and women, teens and young adults.
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: The intent for this retreat/workshop is to discover and implement ideas that can be used within the family and our communities. We encourage youth from eleven, teens, young adults and adults to participate. The things going on in society affect all ages. We will be discussing things that we all can do to persevere in our faith within the societal issues we all face.
Q: Is it ok if I wait and register at the door on the day of the retreat?
A: We have a limit on the amount of participants we can have the size of the facility. Seats go fast. For previous retreats, all seats were taken as close as a week before the day of the retreat. It is best to register a.s.a.p. to make sure there is a seat available.
Q: If I want to bring my teenage daughter and two of her friends do I need to register all of them before the retreat?
A: Yes, please register online or call to reserve seats. Seats may not be available the day of the retreat/workshop.
Q: Is the donation required for every participant? What if there are 4 or 5 in a family?
A: The suggested donation is to help cover the costs for meals, etc. But it is not a requirement to participate.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: The only thing required is your smile. We provide water, snacks, coffee, tea, and lunch. We also provide something to write on and pens if you want to take notes.
Q: Can I bring a friend.
A: YES, please register as many friends as you want to bring. Remember seats go fast. Register early to make sure we reserve a seat for all of you.
Q: Will there be a Mass?
A: There is a regularly scheduled Mass at 4:00 p.m. The retreat will end at 3:30 p.m. The church is next door to the Parish Hall.
Q: Do you always have Confession and Adoration at each retreat?
A: We have been blessed to have both Confession and Adoration available at all of the retreats.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions that are not covered here 505-321-5879
