Hearing God's Voice Free Classes?
Updated: 2 days ago
Yes, classes!
Several days ago I woke up at 3:00 am. I tried to go back to sleep. That didn't work. The thoughts racing through my mind were about how people are generally not aware of the spiritual influences in our minds and how valuable it is to learn and be aware of how God talks to us...
I had to get up! No, I was compelled to get up!
I started writing things down as fast as I could so I wouldn't forget it.
Have you ever had those "middle of the night thoughts" and you think to yourself, 'I should write that down', or 'that's something worth remembering?' Only to wake up in the morning and thinking, there was something that was worth remembering, then scratching your head trying to remember and .... nope, it's gone!
After writing it down, I spent some time in prayer asking God what it all meant and what He wanted me to do with it.
Now mind you, for the last couple of years God has been teaching me in various ways how not only God, but evil spirits as well, affect our thinking that leads us to making decisions all day long.
After some pretty intense spiritual struggles over the last couple of years, I learned to "question" the thoughts. Or another word used is to "test" them. The evil one can disguise himself as good to trick us. Many times it works. It is good to "test" the thoughts. How?
That's all part of the things that were written down from the urgent thoughts that happened at 3:00 am!
Long story short..........
Classes are in the process of being developed for helping us understand more of what is happening in our soul and how spirits affect us. No, I am not talking about weird stuff. I'm talking about God, the Holy Spirit, Angels sent to us by God (good angels), and the evil one and his minions (evil angels. That's right. Satan was created as the Angel of Light who rebelled against God).
These classes are designed for anyone who wants to learn. This topic is usually hard to understand. We want to simplify it and make it accessible to everyone.
One of the classes I took at the Avila Institute was on the book, Screwtape Letters. Have you read it yet? It's a good book to read. There are two versions. The first version I started to read many years ago. The second version is the same as the first but with annotations added. It is a book I highly recommend. It helps us understand a little more on how the evil one is always trying to trip us up.
If you want to dive a little deeper on how our soul grows in learning to hear God's voice, try reading Santa Teresa de Avila's book on Interior Castle.
For and even more intense dive, try St. Ignatius of Layola!.
For most of us, some of this can seem overwhelming and hard to understand. Even reading books that others have tried to break it down for us, can seem a bit much.
After much prayer and "discernment", we are working on classes that everyone can understand.
We want to make it possible for everyone, i.e. children, youth, young adults, adults, elderly, to understand.
Can you imagine what your life would be like if in your childhood you would have known what you know now?
Can you imagine what your life would be like if you would have learned about how God talks to you since you were a child?! Wow!
It's never too late.
The cool thing is that if we learn it now, we can teach it to our children and grandchildren as well as anyone who will listen!
Again, using your God given imagination, imagine what it would be like if all your family and friends knew how to hear God's voice!
Take a few minutes, think about it.
Think about the conversations you would have around the dinner table. Think about the conversations at get togethers. Would it be different?
Our everyday interactions would be different. Our days would be different. Our relationship with God would be different.
There is always room for growth in our Spiritual Lives. Learning to Hear God's voice is the most valuable thing any of us can do, don't you agree?
Yes, I'm excited!
More information will be coming as it is being developed. The hope is to have free online classes available for this Advent Season.
There are more plans in the works too. Please keep us in your prayers as we work to bring more and more opportunities.
If you want to invite others to learn more, send them the following link and we can add them to our contact list to send updates.
Please pray for us. We are praying for all of you.
