"As a deer longs for streams of water, ..."
Today's scripture Psalm 42, "As a deer longs for streams of water, so my soul longs for you, Oh God. My soul thirsts for God, the living God."
Do you ever read a scripture passage and it just hits your heart in a special way?
If you've ever read, "Hinds Feet in High Places", this might resonate even better.
Our soul yearns for God. It's because deep in our soul, only God can fulfill us.
We try and fill that void with all kinds of "things" and it doesn't work.
We expect others to fill it for us. That not only doesn't work, it's harmful on many levels.
Only God can fill it. And oh how He does! In amazing ways we don't even know how to expect.
I can't wait to get started on our classes! I'm sure God is full of surprises for us.
